About A settlement layer built for institutions.

Frame exists because the money that moves the world still runs on rails built for paper ledgers. We are building the settlement layer that institutions can actually trust — fast enough for software, auditable enough for a bank.

Our mission Replace correspondent banking with something verifiable.

Correspondent banking is slow, opaque, and expensive by construction. Our mission is to replace it with a single programmable settlement layer that is faster, cheaper, and verifiable by design — where compliance is how transfers happen, not a check they pass afterward.

Who we are

Built by payment infrastructure veterans

Frame was founded by operators who’ve spent decades inside the financial system at payment processors, exchanges, banks, and protocol companies. We know where legacy infrastructure’s shortcomings are.

The Frame team
01

Payment infrastructure engineers who've processed billions in transactions

02

Protocol architects who understand institutional requirements

03

Compliance experts who've navigated global regulatory frameworks

04

Former treasury and finance operators who've felt these pain points firsthand

Values

Building the next era of money movement

01

Control by Design

We believe financial institutions and enterprises should have more control over how money moves — without relying on fragmented, outdated systems.

02

Trust at the Infrastructure Level

Security, compliance, and transparency are not add-ons. They are built into the foundation of everything we create.

03

Move at the Speed of Business

Payments should settle in minutes, not days. We build infrastructure that keeps pace with how modern companies actually operate.

04

Reduce Friction Everywhere

From cost to complexity to reconciliation, we look for ways to remove unnecessary friction from every step of the payment flow.

05

Build alongside the Real World

We are not asking businesses to abandon the systems they rely on. We build technology that works with existing financial infrastructure while opening the door to what comes next.

06

Make Money Movement Smarter

We believe payments can be programmable, intelligent, and adaptive — giving teams better visibility, better routing, and better outcomes at scale.

Why now The window is open.

Three forces have arrived at once. For the first time, the regulation, the demand, and the technology all point the same way.

  • 01

    Regulatory clarity

Stablecoin and digital-asset frameworks are landing across the US, EU, UK, and Canada — giving regulated institutions a defensible path to adopt on-chain settlement.

  • 02

    Institutional demand

Banks, PSPs, and treasury teams are actively looking to cut the cost and delay of cross-border settlement without abandoning the controls they are accountable for.

  • 03

    Technology readiness

Custody, signing, and verifiable-ledger technology have matured to the point where atomic settlement across fiat and blockchain rails is operationally real, not theoretical.

Regulatory posture We are the rails, not the vault.

Frame is infrastructure, not a bank. We do not custody customer funds, issue stablecoins, or operate as a money-services business — those regulated activities sit with our licensed banking partners. Frame builds and runs the software that makes the money move, under the partner's regulatory umbrella. The split is deliberate, and it is what lets a regulated institution adopt programmable settlement without re-papering its licences.

What Frame does not hold
No customer funds, no keys, no stablecoin issuance. At no point does Frame take custody or discretionary control of customer assets — so Frame needs no money-transmitter licence, no banking charter, and no MSB registration. The licensed partner holds those.
What Frame maintains
Corporate registration, GDPR compliance as a data processor, and SOC 2 Type II (in progress) for security and operational controls — plus the cyber-security standards our banking partners and their regulators require.
Verifiable by design
Every settlement is recorded to a tamper-evident, witness-anchored ledger that any party can verify offline — with no Frame software in the trust path. Compliance isn't asserted; it's provable.
