It supports the integrity and authenticity of the recorded claims and the policy evidence within its declared scope. It does not independently prove external-rail finality, the truth of a source system’s report or legal settlement finality.
Does verification need a connection to Frame?
Frame Verify checks the exported receipt locally against a key the reviewer has pinned independently. A key bundled in the receipt is not enough to establish trust. The reviewer does not need to call Frame or log in to your operating systems.
What happens if someone changes the receipt?
A changed record should fail the relevant integrity or signature checks. The verifier reports its result rather than treating an altered receipt as the original signed evidence.
Does verification prove we received every event?
No. It can check the receipts you hold and their relationship to the recorded history. A valid receipt is not a guarantee that every event has been disclosed.
